HOUSTON — This summer, dinosaurs are roaming the earth once again in exhibit halls (and theaters) near you! Can you believe it’s already been 10 years since the revamped Morian Hall of Paleontology opened its doors? To mark the occasion, the Houston Museum of Natural Science is hosting an anniversary bash like no other with Rock n’ Roar Summer: Titans of HMNS!
Spend this summer helping us celebrate a decade of HMNS’ dynamic, 30-thousand-square-foot Morian Hall of Paleontology with limited tours, special lectures, and in-person classes. Get up close and personal with a display of ancient specimens, and excavate and identify your own treasures in our mini fossil dig site at our Member Event: Insert Jurassic Theme Song Here (Wednesday, June 29, 6:30 p.m.); learn more about The Last Days of the Dinosaurs with Riley Black, author and paleontologist (Tuesday, July 19, 6:30 p.m.); and participate in Fossil Prep: Green River Fish by prepping a fossil fish from its matrix using the tools of the paleontology trade (Thursday, August 18, 6:30 p.m.). Many other fascinating, family-friendly events are also on our calendar – learn more about them here (hmns.org/hmns-rock-n-roar-summer-2022/rock-n-roar-summer-events-and-programs).
It’s going to be a beast of a summer at the Houston Museum of Natural Science! For tickets or more information, visit the museum’s website at www.hmns.org or call (713) 639-4629.
